Actuality of scientific work: The compilation of plant dues is very interesting, but labor-intensive. 
When composing fees, the rule for combining the properties of individual components may not 
work. For example, in the treatment of diabetes mellitus, it is necessary to conduct complex 
treatment and the main goal of phytotherapy is to increase the effectiveness of complex treatment of 
patients with diabetes mellitus, lengthen remission and reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and 
related complications, and improve the quality of life of patients. Targeted preparation of 
antidiabetic collection is an actual task of modern pharmacy. 
Purposes: development of scientifically grounded composition of antidiabetic collection and study 
of its hypoglycemic activity. 
Methods of Research: In the development of antidiabetic collection, the main directions of 
phytotherapy in patients with diabetes mellitus were studied: adaptive plants of restorative action, 
regulating the neurohumoral system and increasing the body's resistance to the action of many 
unfavorable factors (magnolia vinegar, ginseng, rhodiola rosea, eleutherococcus, golden root, etc.) 
); plants that have a diuretic effect and contribute to the removal of excess glucose from the body 
(horsetail, chicory, etc.); plants that stimulate the regeneration of Langerhans' β-cell cultures that 
produce insulin (mulberry white and black, walnut, licorice naked, sowing flax, burdock, etc.); 
chrome containing plants that enhance the action of insulin and help to reduce the concentration of 
glucose in the blood serum, and also reduce cravings for sweet foods (mountain arnica, medicinal 
ginger, Siberian fir, sage, etc.); zinc-containing plants that normalize the action of insulin, as well as 
increasing the body's resistance to many infections and improving the barrier properties of the skin, 
contributing to the rapid healing of wounds (birdwalker, corn stigmas, sage, etc.); biguanide-
containing plants that promote the preservation of insulin from destruction and normalize the 
absorption of glucose (goatskin medicinal, planting peas, beans, etc.); inulin-containing plants used 
as a sugar substitute and contributing to lowering blood glucose levels and normalizing metabolic 
processes, as well as removing toxic and ballast substances from the body (dandelion, elecampane, 
Jerusalem artichoke, chicory, etc.). Monitoring of local medicinal plants with the above-mentioned 
therapeutic properties was carried out, the selection of medicinal plants was carried out by the 
method of expert assessments for a comparative assessment of the qualitative composition of BAS 
and pharmacotherapeutic activity (according to the method of A.Ya. Kobzar and OM Gritsenko) 
from 1 to 5 points. Selection of medicinal plants was carried out by the method of ranking . The 
essence of the method of ranking: the expert is invited to assign numerical grades to each of the 
factors listed in the questionnaire. The rank, equal to one, is attributed to the most important factor,

according to the expert, and the rank equal to two is assigned to the next most important factor, etc. 
For example: when choosing a hypoglycemic collection, the main symptomatic parameters of 
diabetes mellitus (2-type) were taken into account. By the method of processing the results on the 
lister-statistic indices - hypoglycemic action according to the results of the research by Prof. 
Kh.U.Aliyeva and Doctor of Biological Sciences, prof. AA Abidova, 2008, and the content of BAS 
was calculated indices for the ranking of preferences: plants that stimulate the recovery of β-cells of 
the islets of Langerhans, producing insulin - 1.0; biguanide-containing plants - 1.0; chromium and 
zinc containing plants - 1.0; plants-adaptogens of restorative action - 0.2; inulinucoderzhaschie 
plants - 1,5; plants that have a diuretic (diuretic) action - 0.3.
