Аннотация 
В статье обсуждается специальный психолингвистический анализ и общее понимание концептуальной метафоры. 
Настоящее исследование исследует, могут ли люди получить доступ к концептуальной метафоре во время 
интерпретации литературы. В настоящее время, казалось бы, необходимо более глубокое исследование, чтобы 
расширить и обогатить наше познание новыми концептуальными метафорами. Вообще говоря, наше исследование 
основано на анализе в области поэзии и романов, которые имеют тенденцию меняться во времени.

UNDERSTANDING OF CONCEPTUAL METAPHOR IN LITERATURE 
Abstract 
The article discusses special psycholinguistic analysis and general comprehension of conceptual metaphor. The present study 
explores whether people possibly access conceptual metaphor during literature interpretation. Nowadays, it would seem that a 
deeper examination is needed in order to broaden and enrich our attainment with new conceptual metaphors. Generally speaking, 
our research is based on the analysis in the area of poetry and novels, which tend to vary throughout time.

Introduction.
Researchs in psycholinguistics has 
shown that conceptual metaphors influence many aspect of 
how people produce and understand metaphorical language. 
Moreover, famous scholar such as Lakoff & Johnson, Gibbs, 
Kövecses; Jacobs & Kinder have done several works on the 
issue. This conceptual metaphor view was first defined and 
empirically investigated by George Lakoff and Mark Johnson 
in their 1980 book Metaphors We Live By. Since then, an 
enormous body of empirical evidence from cognitive 
linguistics, and related disciplines has emerged, detailing how 
conceptual metaphors underlie significant aspects of both 
linguistic and non-linguistic facets of life. However, the 
question of whether metaphor is indeed always understood 
through the recruitment of conceptual metaphors is currently 
heavily debated.
