THE SUMMER HOLIDAYS
It is September. The summer holidays are over .The new school-year has begun.
During the summer holtdays we all spent much time In the open air and everybody is sun-burnt..'It was very pleasent to lie in the sun, to bathe, to-'go for long walks in the fields.
-My friend Nurmat was at a summer camp. It was n camp ­for young athlets . Every week they went on long walking, tours . They cook their 'meals themselves and spend nights In a tent. It was great fun.The weather was very fine and the nights were very warm, Nurmat says that the life at the summer camp was very interesting..
My friend Bakhtiyar spent his summer on a collective farm where his,uncle lives and works. He enjoyed his stay In the. country very much. He joined a vegetable brigade there. They needed the vegetables and watered them.
This summer my friend. As. kar and I went to Samarkand,
On our way to Samarkand we passed the new cotton fields of Mirzachull. We also-passed .the new town Yangy-Yer. We stayed in Samarkand for three days where we visited many historical places. We walked most of the way on foot In the town.
On the fourth day we took a bus and. went to Tashkent .We had been away from home only ten days, but those ten days in the open air had done us good¹-. We-had enjoyed every minute of the tour. It was very pleasant- to have- a good rest after all those months of hard work at school.
