THE ENGLISH CLIMATE

The climate of Britain is mild. The winters seldom bring the British people snow, especially in the south. They do not have double windows, and there are many houses without central heating. There is a lot of rain in Britain and the grass is green all the year round and it grows well.
Spring in England is a very beautiful season and is very changeable. In a short time the weather changes and it rains. So the British people usually carry their raincoats or umbrellas.
Because of its climate England is a land of flowers and gardens. Spring flowers start in February and they grow in people's gardens, in public places, in window-boxes, etc. They grow in the fields and woods, too. Sometimes the British summer is fine and lasts longer than one month, but some years it rains all the summer and it is cold and windy.
The British people have fogs, but there are seldom thick togs when all the traffic stops. These thick fogs are very bad for people's health

WAY OF LIVING

When we read or hear the word "way" we usually as­sociate this form with the such notions as: first, road, street, etc., which is also a part of the words highway, railway^ and may be used in such examples: a way across the fields or there is no way through, and so on; second, way means route, road to be used from one place to another, e.g. which is the shortest way there? or can you rind your way home? third, the -word may express plan or method, course of ac­tion, for example, the right or wrong way to do something, Englishmen say "Where there is a will there is a way" that means if we want to get something done, we will find a method of doing it.
Way of life or living may be described in the life of people in the given social situation. Way of life may include such events as: labour, life, free time, taking part in social events, living rules, customs, and many others. .
Besides; there may be different ways of living of towns­people or villagers, of rich or poor population, and so on.
