MAN BORNED IN THE DAY OF HAPPINESS
Amir Temur became a great and famous man, as an any other great man he could say about his life: "My life is an interesting novel'"
lie was born or. April 9, 1336 in the village of Hojailgor , near Shahrisabz. His father was rich man whose name was Amir Taragay. His mother Tegima was noble woman. So the son was well educated in their family.
He was the leader of group of horsemen and released his land and ruled it over.
Temur said that a good ksag hasn't time far the government. He must work for his people, because God set us to rule them. It will always be my main, job and I do want my people's prosperity.
There were many wars in Temur's epoch but it was the necessity of that time.
Returning from India Tee-mr began to build a great mosque which people of Samarkand later called Bibbi-hocim. Saray-Mulk-homm, famous as Bibbi-honim, was the favourite wife of Temur. She became the favourite one not only for her origin (Bihbl-hoaum was the daughter of Kazan-khan from Chingizids), but for her wisdom.
Temur liked Samarkand very much, the city became the capital of the empire. He ordered to surround Samarkand with beautiful gardens. He liked to have a rest in those gardens. The gardens became the most popular walking place for townspeople. The gardens had figurative names, such as Gul-bog (a garden with roses), Boghi-dilkusho (heart fascinating garden), and so on. -
At Sohibkiran's 'time Samarkand became one of the world cultural centres. Many famous poets in the East, such as
Atoiy, Sakkokiy, Lutfiy were invited to Samarkand by Amir Temur. Sohibkiran also gathered a number of popular scientists. All of them took part in upbringing of Temur's children and grandsons.
Really, Temurs were not only skilful warriors, but they were good poets and scientists too. For example, Ulugbek, one of the Temur's grandsons made many discoveries on mathematics and astronomy. He built the observatory in Samarkand with the help of which Samarkand became the biggest scientific centre of the world at that time.
Later Alisher Navoi appreciated Ulugbek as one of the greatest scientists of the world. Amir Temur really was a great ruler and did much for the people of Central Asia. He is known throughout the world. In Europe Amir Temur was called as Tamerlane. We know him as Sohibkiran, as a man horned in the day of happiness. There is a book "Temur's Tuzuks" which describes Amir Temur's life and became famous in the East and West and was translated into several foreign languages.
