Metra meetings with Ald. Laurino and Rep. D’Amico, Metra has agreed to the following:

Paint steel bridge

Install new metal stairs on west side by end of summer
-
Install pigeon spikes over sidewalks
-
Confirm structural integrity of embankment walls, power wash and/or sandblast walls & whitewash
-
Provided revised Beautification Agreement to include mural work and the addition of triangles on west side of bridge for plants
-
Will look for monies to conduct engineering for upgrading station (potentially by 2015)
-
Has agreed to allow a pass-thru be made to connect with Mariano’s parking lot (need money for walkway)

Will clean up underbrush on west side of berm
-
Ald. Laurino has tasked Forest Glen with devising a plan for Metra parking along Forest Glen Ave. to be abandoned

Metra has requested that all gardeners sign a waiver (see Joan Schweda)
