Using forum

An integral part of your interactions within the Online Teacher Community will be active 
engagement in forum discussions. We encourage you to regularly contribute to 
discussions.
There is a very strong pedagogical rationale for encouraging exchange of ideas in forums 
with your peers 
– the Online Teacher Community is promoting the value of sharing 
experience, ideas and issues among teachers which also supports the reflective nature of 
this community of practice.
We therefore expect and hope you will regularly engage in discussions, share views and 
ask questions.
All interactions are moderated by group facilitators who will start discussions on a certain 
topic.
*Only* topics related to English language teaching and learning 
(and all aspects of 
it) are allowed.
Should you notice any topics which are not related to that, either by the facilitator of other 
teacher participants, please, feel free to report that using the Help button or email us on 
[e-mail]
.
In addition to that, please, note that the following is strictly prohibited: 
• 
Teachers or facilitators using inappropriate or 
abusive language
• 
Expressing political views 
• 
Aggressively imposing one’s views 
• 
Any rude or derogatory comments about other participants, other nations, 
religions, etc. 
Inappropriate posts can be reported by all users and deleted by the designated 
country
facilitators.

Any forum messages which are inappropriate, or use offensive language, or which 
engage in topics not related to English language teaching and teacher professional 
development, will be removed from the forum.
If users continue to post inappropriate messages, they will be permanently removed from 
the Online Teacher Community platform. 
We want to ensure that the forum discussions are a professional,
productive and positive 
experience for all users.
