I came to class 10 minutes earlier,and took the seat in the back of the class. Almost all students were also in the class,and some of them were talking with their classmates. Exactly at 3:00 pm,the teacher came to the class,put her stuffs,and greeted her students.T:Hi everybody,how is it going?Everything is good?Ss:Good afternoon teacher,yes we're good.The teacher then told the students about what they're going to do during the lesson at that day. She explained that they were going to review the first draft of students' writing they did in the previous meeting. "Guys,listen, today we're going to review your homework you did on Tuesday,and please take out your homework."She asked the students to take out their homework, but some of the students did not bring it. The class was a little bit noisy and some students were talking,complaining and regretting that they did bring or forgot to bring their homework at that day. " Who did not bring the homework, come and standing in front of the class.Guys,I told you last Tuesday,right?.Okay,now please,show me your first draft!" A student looked at me and asked me to go to the front of the class. But I explained her that I'm not a student in the class,but only an observer and doing my class assugnment. He then understood,and nodding his head. The teacher went around the class.I appreciated the teaching methods used by the teacher. I observed that the teaching processes were exemplary. For instance, the tutor embraced the best planning, teaching, testing, and communication practices. She listened attentively to her learners in an attempt to deliver the best instructions to them. She was always ready to use appropriate assessment methods. The teacher was always ready to prepare the best questions for her students. Her duty was to ensure the prepared content addressed the needs of her learners. During the period, the instructor identified specific practices that could be improved in an attempt to support the educational needs of every future learner.The teaching period was characterized by various activities such as group work, tests, and discussion sessions. Every learner was also required to pronounce and spell different words correctly. These activities were aimed at delivering the best skills to the learners. The activities also focused on major learning goals and objectives.
Observer's comments:I found this lesson was interesting. The teacher came to the class on time then started the lesson by greeting the students to settle up the class. When the teacher greeted,the students became quite suddenly. Personally,I like the way the teacher introduced what they were going to do in the class. She gave clear instructional objective at the time.The way she punished the students who didn't do their homework were also good,and her seemed that the students didn't feel that they were being punished. She also double-checked and had students to show her their homework. Interestingly,she did that in very serious face expression,so the students still felt comforatble that surely they were embarrassed and regretted. It was a little bit funny,when the student asked me to come to the front since she found me didn't bring the homework.
