III.Conclusion. 
What is the specific range of issues falling within the competence of applied linguistics? What has 
the last decades brought to applied linguistics in terms of recording, storing and transmitting speech 
information? At what level of development are currently such issues as the creation of information 
languages, the automation of intellectual activity related to the use of language (the creation of an 
artificial intelligence system), the use of language in medicine (the field of neurolinguistics)? What are 
the prospects for expanding the ties of linguistics with other sciences through applied linguistics, in 
particular with cybernetics and certain aspects of mathematical research? 
Thus, coherent speech is not only a set (or unity) of sentences, logically, grammatically, and 
stylistically organized to convey a complete meaning, but also a structural unity of linguistic means, 
organized to implement a complete semantic unity. The main indicators of the existence of coherent 
speech can serve such signs as completeness (autonomy, isolation, independence, completeness), 
connectedness.
Therefore, the development of speech is not only training in the ability to use language tools in 
accordance with the taught content, but also the process of mastering the structure of the text in order to 
better and more fully use its language resources.
