Nowadays people are spending more time away from their homes because they spend longer in their workplace.
It has been widely discussed that people are spending more time at their workplace rather than at home. This essay will explain the benefits and the drawbacks of spending a plenty of time at the office.
To begin with, working extra hours in the company can help to earn more money. The more a person earns, the sooner he uplifts his living standards. Moreover, spending more time in workplace gives a chance of focus on career growth. Working more hours with high productivity can lead to promotion.
On the contrary, there are some disadvantages of spending too many hours at work that cannot deny. Firstly, it affects relationships, especially, family bonds. When parents work extra hours in the office, they do not have enough time to spend with children. Having lack of parent’s care, some children are most likely to be misled in their life. Secondly, people who spend several hours at work for supplying the need of family cannot pay attention to their health. It causes some health problems such as stress, diabetes, high blood pressure. It reduces their quality of life and shortens their life expectancy.
In conclusion, the vast majority of people are working for long hours today, which causes having less time to spend at home. To my mind, individuals must know how to keep a balance between professional and personal commitments.
