Color Trends : 2022

S pring 2022 will deliver some of the boldest colors yet, from neon green to hot pink. Mood-boosting hues were so prominent on the runways from New York to Paris, it felt like an invitation to add Spring color trends into our wardrobe, whether we add a pop of pink with accessories or opt for head-to-toe brights in a monochromatic blue suit.

Extinguishable star : Muhammad Yusuf
He was born on 26 th of April in 1954 in Markhamat district in Andijan. He graduated from the institute of Russian language and literature (now The Uzbek State World Languages University, from 1994). He worked in these places such as: in Booklovers’ Society of Republic (1978-1980), in the paper which is called “Toshkent oqshomi” (1980-1986), in the Publishing house of “Adabiyot va san’at”, in the paper, which is called “Uzbekiston ovozi” (1986-1993). In the last 4-5 years of his life he became secretary of The Authours Society. In 1998 he was awarded with the title of The Peoples’ poet of Uzbekistan. He was elected as a deputy of “Oliy Majlis” (House of Parliament) of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In 2001 his “Selection” had been published. M. Yusuf could perform turning the poem into song and flying the poem high. In each word of the poet’s verses there are patience and willingness to fly.
The great love, discharged duty, the non-execution of the unrespected love, the faithfulness of sonness to the country – are based on the poems of the poet.
M. Yusuf died on the 29 th of July in 2001. He was buried in the grave of his village.

As we emerge from the pandemic and anxiously look forward to brighter days, fashion designers are gravitating toward scarlet, sky blue, and bright fuschia hues as vibrant colors to wear this spring. Ahead, feast your eyes on soft lilac, which is surprisingly sleek and offers a new perspective on purple; sunny canary yellow; moody hot pink; salted caramel; bold scarlet; mystifying sky blue; rich green; neon green; and illuminating yellow.

Ancient handicraft
Wood carving art of Uzbekistan is the part of Central Asian art heritage and originates in ancient times. Khiva today also is one of the oldest centers of carving art in Central Asia. Carvers from old times have been famous for their handicraft. The peculiarity of carving art of Khiva are decoration of doors, gates, cornices, columns and furniture. Carved doors are the distinctive peculiarity of the old city.


Creations of wood carving in Juma mosque in Ichan-Kala are especially beautiful. It was rebuilt at the end of the XVIII century, but retained the features of classical buildings of the East. This original one-storied building without portals, arches

and domes is a huge hall with a flat roof, which is based on 213 wooden carved columns. They, different in size, shape and decoration are the high artistic value of the mosque.

Skilled carvers use wood of elm and other local trees. For the preserving of the surface they use cotton or linseed oil. Children are trained to the trade early. When they are fourteen years old, they get the profession. The tradition of plant ornament of wood carving in Khiva stay stable and craftsmen from Khiva try to keep old traditions of handicrafts and to pass them to young generation. Young men know the secrets of majolica producing with flower and geometrical patterns, wood carving. The doors, made by Khiva masters one hundred years ago are still the examples of high art. And also shogirds – apprentices try to recreate this beauty in their works.
The bright representatives of Khiva carving school is the dynasty of the Palvanovs, who made many carved columns and doors in Khiva of the XIX – beginning of the XX centuries. The works of Abdusattarov and his son Ata Palvanov are characterized with one planned carving with a shallow relief. The ornament is generally vegetable and has the dynamic rhythmic of small sprouts.
