Termez branch of Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 20, 2017 No PP-2909 "On measures to further develop the higher education system" Resolution No. PP-3101 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on measures to organize the activities of the Termez branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Karimov defines the main tasks of the Termez branch of the Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov.

The branch has two faculties "Construction and Transport Systems" and "Light Industry and Chemical Technology." These faculties have departments of "General Sciences", "Humanities and Socio-Economic Sciences", "Chemical and Food Technologies", "Transport Systems and Technological Machines" and "Mathematics and Natural Sciences" with 90 students. Many professors and teachers teach students.

The branch has an information technology center, information resource center, computer design circles. Students of the branch are actively involved in competitions and contests in the Republic and around the world.

International relations and scientific activity

The branch has signed a memorandum of understanding with the universities of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Bashkortostan "Ufa State University of Economics and Service", "Ufa State University of Petroleum Engineering" and "Ufa State University of Petroleum Engineering" and the Republic of Kazakhstan. A memorandum of understanding was sent to the South Kazakhstan State University named after MOAuezov.
