Prepared : Madaminov Bohirbek Hello everyone. Today I would like to introduce you my home town. My home town is called Andijan which is situated in Uzbekistan. I like my town very much. It has a lot of mountains, rivers and a beautiful nature. What I like mostly in my town is the nature and especially the mountains and the rich culture. Andijan is a city in the Andijan region of the Republic of Uzbekistan . The administrative , economic and cultural center of the region . One of the largest industrialcities of Uzbekistan . The city is located in the east of the Fergana Valley . It is located on the banks of the Andijan River , at an altitude of 450 m above sea level . The average temperature in July is 27° C -28˚C , and in January -3˚ C . The population is 4,232,500 people (2011) . The area is 4240 km² . The city of Andijan is bordered on the northwest by Altynkul district , on the west by Bulakbashi district and on the southeast by Andijan district . There is a special day in spring in Uzbekistan which is also very popular in other islamic countries. That day is called Navruz and it takes place 21st of March. We prepare on that day a tasty sweet dish called Sumalac. It is made mainly from wheat and we add sugar. My favorite place in my town is choyhona, which is translated from Uzbek language ( tee room or in German: Teestube.) There I can get always very tasty national food and not only this! To choyhona come people also to have a conversation, to drink a green tee with a special aroma and to meditate under the shadow of the trees! In our choyhona there are also terraces where you can sit outside. Andijon Nature The surface of Andijan region is mostly flat. The current topography and surface rocks are formed by the activity of large and small rivers and streams of the Quaternary geological period. The western part of the region consists of a ridge (400–500 m above sea level), the eastern part (east of Andijan) consists of branches of the Fergana and Olay ridges. Andijan region is located in the geologically active zone, there are strong earthquakes (see Andijan earthquake). Ixdimi sharply continental, dry. The weather in Andijan region is relatively stable in winter due to the fact that mountain ranges block the Fergana Valley from cold weather. Summers are hot, with an average July temperature of 27.3 °, a relatively cold one, and an average January temperature of -3 °. The vegetation period is 217 days. Annual precipitation is 200-250 mm. Av. It is richer in water resources than other regions of Uzbekistan. Winter lights Its rivers receive water from rain, perennial snow and glaciers in the mountains. The main river is the Karadarya (one of the tributaries of the Syrdarya). Its tributaries are Moylisuv, Akbora, Aravonsay and others. The water of the rivers is used for irrigation. The soils are gray, brown, meadow, meadow-swamp soils, sandstone, marl, less and gravel. In spring, the hills are covered with ephemeral plants. In the uncultivated plains of Av., Wormwood grows, and on the slopes, pistachios and almonds grow. Wild animals (buri, fox, wild boar, etc.) are rare; there are reptiles, rodents, birds, fish in ponds. The majority of the population is Uzbek. There are Kyrgyz, Tajiks, Uighurs, Russians, Koreans AND others. After the Russian conquest of the Kokand Khanate, Russians, Ukrainians, Tatars, Armenians, Jews and others came here. An average of 517 people per km. Ethnic composition: Uzbeks - 86.8%, Kyrgyz - 3.8%, Tatars - 3.1%, Russians - 2%. The urban population is 657.7 thousand and the rural population is 1539.2 thousand (2000). Literature Andijan is home to the world-famous Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, the land of Nodirabegim. Abdulhamid Cholpon, a great representative of the new Uzbek literature of the 20th century, was born in Andijan. Dozens of ghazal writers such as Zokirjon Habibi, Oraziy, Vosit Sadulla, Khoshimjon Razzokov, Sayfiy, Anisi, Azimi, Boqir lived and worked here. Alisher Navoiy garden Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur (1483 – 1530) Sabir Abdulla, Sultan Jo'ra, Komil Yashin, Tokhtasin Jalolov, Sayda Zunnunova, who were formed on this land and gained prestige, have a special place in the development of Uzbek literature. Nusrat Abdusalomov, Habib Siddiq, Najmiddin Ikramov, Rafiq Mukhtor, Dilmurod Shokirov, Khamidullo Yusupov, Muborak Kasimova The main building of the Andijan regional branch of the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Dozens of poets and writers, such as the building of the Republican Emergency Medical Center, reflect the life of the independence period in their works.
