The National Anthem
The state anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was approved by the 11th Session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan at the 12th convocation on December 10, 1992. The lyrics are by Abdulla Aripov and the music by Mutal Bourkhanov.
William Shakespeare
English and American Literature presented the world with a lot of outstanding poets, playwrights and writers, such as: George Byron, Charlotte Bronte. Oscar Wild, Bernard Shaw, Arthur Conan Doyle, Theodor Dreiser. Jack London and mny others.
William Shakespeare is considered to the greatest and the most famous all the writers. He is a vivid representative of Renaissance. The last of XVI and the beginning of the XVII centuries are known as the golden age of English Literature or the age of Shakespeare. In spite of his fame we know very little about his life and there are a lot o: vague points about it. The exact date of his birth is unknown. W e are aware that he was baptized on the 26th of April in 1564. So the 23 rd of April is an approx ~'ate date of his birth.
His father was a well to do merchant. There were 8 children in their family. William was the third child. When a boy he was fond of producing and setting plays with his boy - friends. After Grammar School he worked as a teacher at it for some time. At the age of 18 he married Ann Hathaway. Then he left for London and joined an acting company. Soon he began to write plays for this company and in a few years became a well known author as his plays were a great success. But the company did not have their own theatre. That’s why they built one and called The Globe”. It was a round summer theatre with a sign on the main door' All the world is a stage". It was the first theatre not only for the rich but the poor as well. It was called “The Golden Theatre" by the common people.
Shakespeare lived in London for 23 years. He crcated 37 plays and 154 sonnets among them are his immortal tragedies and comcdies such as: "Romeo and Juliet”. "Hamlet" “King Lear". “Macbeth". "Othello”, '"Much ado about nothing"."Twelfth night". “All’s Well that ends well" Besides he wrote historical plays: “Henry IV”, “Richard II". "Richard III” and others.
Shakespeare's activities as a dramatist, poet, actor, continued until 1612 when he returned to Stanford. In 1616 at the age of 52 he died. He was buried in the Church of Stanford upon Avaon.
Shakespeare created a new' cpoch in world literature, in human society which are interesting for the people of all the generations at all times.
Shakespeare believed in man, his great abilities to make the mankind happy. That’s why William Shakespeare’s works do not grow old with time
