History of Intercultural Communication Theory began in 1947 in the United States. The study of science has been connected with the practical interests of businessmen, politicians and diplomats. In 1947, the US Government established the Foreign Service Institute to prepare foreign service personnel for overseas service. The institute introduced the theory of intercultural communication - anthropologists Edward T. Holl, Ray Berdvistella and linguist George Trader - the theory of intercultural communication in the process of developing the curriculum for Americans. At first, they set clear goals for themselves:

• training diplomats, politicians, military personnel, peacekeepers to work effectively abroad; - Facilitating successful adaptation of international students and interns in the United States;
• Encouraging of solving interethnic and internalional conflicts in the United States.
