Mukhammad Yusuf was born on April 26, 1954 in the village of Qovunchi, Markhamat district, Andijan region, in a
peasant family. After graduating from high school, he studied at the Republican Institute of Russian Language and
Literature, graduating in 1978. In 1978-1980 he was a member of the Republican Society of Book Lovers, in 1980-
1986 in the newspaper "Tashkent Evening", in 1986-1992 G. From 1992 to 1995 he worked at the Publishing House
of Literature and Art named after Gulom, from 1992 to 1995 at the newspaper "O'zbekiston ovozi", at the Information
Agency of Uzbekistan, from 1995 to 1996 he studied at the Academy of State and Public Construction. From 1997 he
worked as Deputy Chairman of the Writers' Union of Uzbekistan.
M. Yusuf is the youngest people's poet of Uzbekistan (1998). His first poems were published in 1976 in the newspaper
"Literature and Art of Uzbekistan". The untimely death took the poet away from us.

Mukhammad Yusuf is one of the most talented poets of modern Uzbek literature. He was born on April 26, 1954 in
the village of Qovunchi, Marhamat district, Andijan region, in a simple family. After graduating from high school, he
graduated from the Republican Institute of Russian Language and Literature (1978). In 1978-1980 he worked in the
Republican Society of Book Lovers, in 1980-1986 in the newspaper "Tashkent Evening", in 1986-1992 in the
publishing house of literature and art named after Gafur Gulom, and now in the newspaper "Voice of Uzbekistan" is
operating.
As the author of about a dozen collections of poetry and dozens of songs, he has won the hearts of a wide readership.
His first poems were first published in the newspaper "Literature and Art of Uzbekistan" in 1976. After that, "Familiar
poplars" (1985), "I have a word for the nightingale" (1987), "Prayer" (1988), "Sleeping girl" (1989), "Halima enam
allalari" (1989), "Ship of love" ( 1990), “A Companion in My Heart” (1990), “Bevafo Kop ekan” (1991), and “Erka
kiyik” (1992). In 1989, she was awarded the Republican Youth Prize for her collection of poems, Sleeping Girl.
He is an honest poet, honest and pure in heart. That is why his poetry is full of spirituality, whether he sings about
love, sings about an unfaithful partner, or sings about our history and destiny, there is always a touch of life and truth.
His poems are simple, fluent, and in harmony with the oral tradition of the people. Remember the poet's poem "Mercy
Remains":
For better or for worse,
Mercy remains, love remains.
