The aim of research work consists of working out suggestions and
recommendations on identifying how the paremias were reflected in the Turkish
text of “Baburname”, expressing the national flavor in the process of translating it,
understanding the form and meaning in a word, the original text and reflecting it
correctly in a translation.
The tasks of the research consist of the following:
Determining the statistical indices of paremias in “Baburname”, classifying
the paremias, highlighting their features and reasoning the principles of
peculiarities in the process of translation;
Studying, analyzing the peculiar features in translations of proverbs, adages
and aphorisms, and pointing out the achievements and failures of the translator by
comparing the translation with the original text;
Analyzing the phrasemes semantically and structurally, paying attention to
form and meaning correspondence, determining the reflection of semes in a
translation and noting the principles of translating into Turkish language;
Working out scientific conclusions on peculiar features of Uzbek and Turkish
texts of “Baburname” including paremic units given in these texts.
As the objects of the research paremia units used in Uzbek and Turkish texts
of “Baburname”: proverbs, adages, aphorisms and phrasemes were chosen.
The scientific novelty of the research
A number of stylistic-semantic mistakes as using the words incorrectly,
misunderstanding the original text, incorrect comprehension of the lexis and
paremias stylistically were identified by comparing the proverbs, adages,
aphorisms and phrasemes given in the Turkish publication of “Baburname” to the
ones given in the Uzbek publication;
It was identified that the phrasemes present in modern Turkish language with
a changed form were noted and the proverb and aphorisms were translated into
Turkish transliteration method;
It was determined that Turkish scientists used the methods of translating word
by word in translating paremic units widely, it was proved that proverbs, adages
and phrasems in Uzbek and Turkish languages differ from the lexical units in other
languages by menaing and content, lexical, stylistic-semantic features;
It was proved that the harmony of word, form and meaning has the primary
importance in order not to make a false equivalence in reflecting paremias in the
translation of a work adequately.
