Motivation Letter
Since I was young I have been interested in economics and mathematics. In
the summer, my
relatives and I were fruit retailers and sold cherries and apricots to the market. In order for our
family to be prosperous, I learned new strategies like exploring buyer motivations and
monitoring the busy hours. These observations led to a heavy desire to study economics. At
university, I studied a variety of courses like mathematical
analysis, statistical analysis, discrete
mathematics, and logic. Now, my aim is to combine my math skills with a solid study of
Economics. In the future, I want to get a master’s degree in financial mathematics: integration
of economy and mathematics in order to help Uzbekistan solve first-class problems. The
National Scholarship Program of the Slovak Republic serves as an opportunity to get relevant
education in Finance and economics while creating foundation for my further studies.
Finance is one of the most important subjects in this field as mathematics. This scholarship stay
at the Faculty of Economics at the Technical University of Kosice fulfills lacking part of my
knowledge of
finance and economics, also provides an opportunity to apply my experience and
skills I have developed during my study such as problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
The Technical University of Kosice offers great learning possibilities with good facilities
welcoming students from all over the world. I am keen on studying in a multinational
environment with students coming from different cultures in order to learn from the diverse
classroom. Also, I would like to showcase what it means to come from Uzbekistan and share my
personal history with new classmates. This cross-cultural exchange will
bring vibrancy and
expansion of critical thinking within the classroom. In my field of study: Students of the Faculty
of Economics at the university are actively involved in student organizations in Slovakia, such as
ISN Slovakia, AIESEC Slovakia, IAESTE Slovakia. Being involved in such organizations providing
facilities such as volunteering abroad, professional internships have a strong contribution to
broaden my horizons and developing work experience with a range of skills.
