Lesson Topic: Pronoun




Lesson objectives: to teach students the pronouns in detail, make them aware of usage in the speech







Aim:


educational: to learn new theme and related words

developing: to enable the pupils to talk about the topic

socio-cultural: make pupils speak and study independently and improve their social communication

1. Activities procedures:



  • Organizing moment:

  • Greeting -5 minutes

  • Checking the register -5minutes

  • Review -5minutes

2. Main part (procedure) – 20 minutes

In the main part of the lesson teacher should give detailed information about the topic. It is important to write the theme on the board before the beginning of the lesson. Firstly, to make the theme more understandable, teacher explain what is the pronoun in pupils’ native language and then gives pupils activities to practice and learn the topic better.



Activity1: He or she..?

Objectives: working in the mixed ability group and improving speaking skills

  • Pupils will be divided into groups (at least 4members in a group)

  • Teacher gives them mixed pictures and papers written pronouns and asks to put them correctly


Activity2: Match the name..!

Objectives: working in pairs and improving writing skills

  • Pupils will be told to work in pairs.

Tip: Teacher should choose pairs in terms of their ability (active + passive)

  • They will write down 10 people’s name they know (friend, family members).

  • And then they will match names with pronouns.( Teacher should give her own example)

3. Evaluation: teacher gives marks and her feedback

4. Home assignment: to learn pronouns’ table, match the pictures with pronouns
