1. Capital includes all resources a company uses to generate revenue. Human resources or the people working in the organization are the most important resource.
2. Managers is the process of employing people, training them, compensating them, developing policies relating to the workplace, and developing strategies to retain employees.
3. There are seven main flexible schedules of HRM managers: staffing, setting policies, compensation and benefits, retention, training, employment laws, and worker protection.
4. In addition to being concerned with the seven internal aspects, HRM external forces must keep up to date with changes in the external environment that may impact their employees. The trends toward Human resource management and telecommuting are examples of external aspects.
5. To effectively understand how the responsibilities might affect human resources, it is important for the HR manager to read the HR literature, attend conferences, and utilize other ways to stay up to date with new laws, trends, and policies.
Task 3. Write the definition of following words.
1. revenue- is the money generated from normal business operations, calculated as the average sales price times the number of units sold.
2. compensation- money that is paid to someone in exchange for something that has been lost or damaged or for some problem.
3. retention- Employee retention is defined as an organization's ability to prevent employee turnover, or the number of people who leave their job in a certain period, either voluntarily or involuntarily.
4. telecommuting- refers to the act of completing work assignments from a location other than an office via an internet and phone connection.
5. responsibility- the state or fact of having a duty to deal with something or of having control over someone.
