Essence of the subject and its role in the higher professional education
The country has all the necessary resources for the developmenOt of tourism. Our country, located on the Great Silk Road, has favorable natural and climatic conditions, rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as high potential for the development of both domestic and international tourism.

One of the most pressing issues in the field of tourism and hospitality in the context of modernization of the country is the training of personnel who can meet the qualification requirements. Excursion service is one of the main services in the field of tourism. First of all, the tourist wants to get acquainted with the history, culture, social life and natural resources of the country. Excursion service, with its visuality, content and sensitivity, influences the formation of the spiritual outlook of tourists.

The subject of "Organization of excursion services" is important as a specialty for students majoring in "Tourism (by field of activity)" and "Organization and management of the hotel industry." In this course, students will gain the necessary information about the quality of excursion services in the field of tourism.

The purpose of teaching the subject "Organization of excursion services" is to provide students with knowledge about the rich historical heritage of the country, ecological and recreational areas, production facilities, the organization of quality, safe excursion services and their effective use in tourism.

The task of the subject is to teach students the main topics of the subject and the essence of the link, to determine the relationship of science with other disciplines and to develop excursions. The purpose, tasks and content of the tour, the requirements for the tour, the preparation of the main and individual text of the tour, the technological map of the tour. excursion techniques. Acquisition of in-depth knowledge of the requirements for the tour guide and the culture of his speech, the historical-architectural and ecological-recreational tours of Uzbekistan, the main and special types of tourism.

During/after the given course, the student must be able:

- to have an idea of the methods of storytelling in the field service, requirements for the tour guide, methods of presentation of the object in the tour service;

- to know and use the purpose and objectives of the tour, the technology of preparation of the tour, the creation of the tour route, the preparation of the text of the tour, the types and location of excursion resources in Uzbekistan.

- to effectively use the excursion facilities in Uzbekistan, selection of excursion facilities, excursion techniques, creation of a special hill in tourism, first aid during the excursion route

Interdependence and methodological coherence of science with other subjects in the curriculum

The subject "Organization of excursion services" is a general professional subject. Implementation of the program requires sufficient knowledge and skills in the subjects of "International Tourism", "Tourism", "Marketing", "Management", which are planned in the curriculum.
