3.6 The Deciption of Mr.Micawber as a Comic Character
Dickens’s gallery of funny heroes is so vast that one doesn’t know where to start. Here we find the value of the static sign (with the “flat” sign in the word Forster). As Robert Liddell (1999) points out, “measurements of almost any sense of humor. When he does that and thereby gives up his stock, in other words, we get upset.According to Chaudhuri (1992, p.177) :
A comic character like Mr.Micawber which must necessarily be flat or static is likely to be more complicated and enigmatic than a hero or heroine, full of surprises and turn-abouts. Mr.Micawber, for example can find the most unexpected ways of being himself. It is a kind of resourcefulness. The strength of this type of characters lies in their immunity to the knocks and upheavals which they face these cannot change their selves they reassert their own natures.
4.Conclusion.
Great comics like Mr. Dickens.Micawber is almost incompatible with existing forms of absurdity that do not exist in human nature and therefore with moral categories. It is this positive quality that makes Dickens joke so difficult to analyze and easy to enjoy.Dickens is a master of grotesque and his images are really expressions that enhance human quality to the cartoon.Mr. Micaber is optimistic, Uriah Hip is just a creepy hypocrite, sir.Ignorance and cruelty squeeze the beast – they are grotesque, not human.
Dickens describes and attacks many unpleasant people and places in his novels, but David Copperfield, in particular, has a society that is rife with ruthless egotism and in need of radical moral reform.Despite this Murdstoness novel, Creakle, Steerforth, Uriah Heep and his mother, this is not felt.In addition to the early part of David’s conflict with the Murdstones, attention will be needed for the personal sciences that do not need caritas.
This change in orientation is reflected in the marriages that make up the plot.In previous novels it was one of the worst marriage mercenaries, characteristically forcing young people by their caleulating elders.David Copperfield is the most discriminating of a bad marriage, innocent, and impressive while a good marriage is for Peggotty’s Barkis, Dr. Annie.Strong, for Agnes, David’s passionate and attentive lift was sent.
