Sixth Grade Science 
Earth & Space Science explores the interconnections between the land, 
ocean, atmosphere, and life of our planet. These include the cycles of water, 
carbon, rock, and other materials that continuously shape, influence, and 
sustain Earth and its inhabitants.

Middle School Life and 
Earth Science 
Life Science is the study of life and living things. Living things are also called 
organisms. Students will learn that living organisms are made of cells and 
determine the relationship of organisms to the environment. Students will 
use their understanding of cell theory to develop physical and conceptual 
models of cells.

Middle School Physical 
Science and Chemistry 
Physical Science explores the fundamental concepts of physics and 
chemistry. Some key topics of physical science: Planning & Conducting 
Investigations, Characteristics of Matter, Atoms & Atomic Theory, The 
Periodic Table, Changes in Matter, States & Forms of Energy, Heat & Heat 
Transfer, Sound & Light, Work, Force, & Motion, Electricity & Magnetism.

Integrated Science and 
Lab 
This class offers a truly experiential approach that engages students in active 
learning and emphasizes the application of integrated science in the course. 
Student materials combine math, chemistry, biology, physics, and earth 
science with content aligned to the National Science Education Standards. 
This class balances extensive scientific concepts with hands-on classroom and 
lab activities, readings, intriguing case studies, and chapter-opening 
scenarios.
