Middle of Summer Ministry
You have heard me say many times that Trinity does not take a summer vacation from ministry. As a matter of fact, several forms of ministry escalate! By the time you read this article, two different camp sessions will be behind us with two to go. We had 34 (youth and chaperones) attend the Beulah Youth Institute (one session) alone. Praise the Lord. The children finished Vacation Bible School last month and have several activities planned in the near future including a trip to the Creation Museum.
Our God and Country Service will be held July 3 with the theme “God Bless America.” We will reminiscence about the popular song and then pray for God to do just that…bless our nation. The message is titled “Is America a Christian Nation?”
Look for two special Sundays in July, Senior Appreciation Sunday and Youth Sunday, plus messages titled “Are you Ready to be a Martyr” and “I Have Found the Book!”
Mark your calendars for our MCCI Weekend which is scheduled for August 26-28. This is a pivotal weekend for Trinity. The MCCI Directors will be present on this weekend to learn more about our church and to present their “Prescriptions for Change.”
Recently I have focused upon the need for Christians to “live their faith” and “share their faith” with others. As we grow closer to God, our hearts, our minds, and our desires become more intertwined. We begin to have “the mind of Christ.” We become more closely attuned to His will and His ways.
Therefore, it is inevitable that we will have the desire to share our faith with others when we commune with Christ. This is God’s heart. He wants ALL to receive His love and forgiveness.
When was the last time you invited someone to church or shared your faith? It is easy to make excuses. Let’s be a church that shows our love and concern for others by presenting to them a God of love and forgiveness and transformation.
In Christ, Joey

Donation For Trinity’s Adopted Platoon…are still being accepted. The platoon consists of 15 men & 5 women. This is in response to the “Ministry Outside Our 4 Walls” portion of the Awakening Services held in April. The Kids in JAM chose this ministry. A box for these items will be in the JAM ROOM. There is a very specific list of items that can be sent, so PLEASE DO NOT donate anything other than what is listed here: Assorted snacks, filled crackers, dried fruit, tuna/chicken pouches or packs, drink mix singles, assorted toiletries (TRAVEL SIZE ONLY & NO hotel samples) for both genders, Clorox wipes, white crew socks with NO LOGO for both genders, adult coloring books & colored pencils, sharpeners jigsaw puzzles, assorted puzzle books and anything to give them a taste of home. Please do not feel it necessary to send every item listed. Just getting a touch of home will really boost morale. A box will be sent once a month. ALSO – if you would like to send a letter, we will be sending those out once a week. You can give them directly to Kristen Mosbach, or turn them in to the church office by e-mail mschultz@wftrinity.com .
