6.4. RECOMMENDATIONS
In view of the findings and subsequent conclusions certain recommendations are made.
These are aimed at:

women
aspiring to leadership
▪
those already in leadership
and management positions
▪
institutions
▪
policy.
Finally, suggestions for possible future research are made.
The researcher earnestly
hopes that women and institutions will take a critical consideration of the subsequent
recommendations.
6.4.1 Women
It is recommended that women aspiring to as well as those
already in leadership and
management positions:
• plan early for
career advancement
• involve themselves in managerial
work to gain experience
• develop a
good research profile
• be proactive in choosing
their mentors
• be bold and confident, persistent and determined in the
pursuit of their goals
• form networks with other women in similar positions.
