Message from our President: Maria M. Kalapati

As my year as President comes to an end, I are looking forward to continue the good work we have started this year and this is thanks to every one of you that put Service Above Self. Service Above Self is not easy to do, because everyone is pretty busy with family and making a living however, I can tell you that the term “it is in giving, that we receive” is absolutely true. It may be difficult to give of our time sometimes, but the effort is well worth the satisfaction one gets when we do. You need to be passionate about Rotary…because there is so much to do. This month is Fellowship Month and fellowship is as important to the Rotary Clubs as the service projects. We will endeavor to have more of them because we need to be closer as a club – in friendship and in networking. I already noticed that many of you are starting to use each other’s services and I encourage all of you to keep doing that. As we finish our Rotary year under my presidency, I ask that we continue to think about good ethical people that would be an asset to our club. We would like to get the Club up at 25 + members by the end of the new year. It is our goal. It is also the responsibility of each member to pass on the extra pin they received to a deserving member they would sponsor. Sponsorship is noted by the Club, the District and Rotary International and an invitation to join Rotary is an honor.

This year our Club has acquired the Small Club of the Year Award, The District Governors Golden Award and the Presidential Citation. What an honor to have those recognitions and, it is all thanks to all of you. We can do this again! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. YOU WERE ALL A “ GIFT TO THE WORLD”

A Message from our President of Rotary International, K.R. Ravindran

We in Rotary aspire to great deeds. We admire those who gave great gifts to humanity: Abraham Lincoln, who gave the gift of human dignity to the downtrodden; Mother Teresa, who gave the gift of compassion to the forgotten; Mahatma Gandhi, who gave the gift of peaceful change to the oppressed. Their very lives became gifts to the world.

What we give through Rotary becomes a gift to us. And we all have a choice: whether to keep our gifts to ourselves or give them to others, and Be a Gift to the World.”
