Phlegmatic
Phlegmatic - a subject who has one of the four main types of temperament, characterized by a low level of mental activity, slowness, and expressionless facial expressions. The phlegmatic person has difficulty switching from one activity to another and adapting to a new environment. The phlegmatic person has a calm, even mood. Feelings and moods are usually consistent. Under unfavorable conditions, a phlegmatic person can develop lethargy, poor emotions, and a tendency to perform monotonous habitual actions. I. P. Pavlov believed that phlegmatic people are distinguished by a strong, balanced, inert type of nervous system.
Phlegmatic does not have a huge reserve of energy, but it uses the available amount very sparingly and intelligently. He will not make unnecessary movements and actions, will not show violent emotions, so as not to waste limited energy reserves. Outwardly, phlegmatic people give the impression of reliable, confident people. Even with their presence, phlegmatics can create an atmosphere of calm and confidence that everything will be fine.
Despite the fact that phlegmatic people are outwardly very calm and stingy with emotions, this means that they do not feel anything and are generally "soulless crackers". Not at all. In fact, they are very vulnerable and deeply experience conflicts, so they try their best to avoid them. If the feelings of a phlegmatic person were still strongly hurt, then you can expect a response from this person: phlegmatic people are often vindictive. To cope with this weakness, phlegmatic people need to learn to forgive. Yes, this may not be easy, but it is necessary. It will make life easier:) Another important skill for phlegmatics is the ability to understand (well, even if not to understand, but at least to accept) people whose energy is in full swing (the same sanguine and choleric people).
Among the strengths of phlegmatics, which they have quite a lot, we can also highlight excellent stress resistance. In addition, phlegmatic people always perform their assigned duties, and they always do their work on time. However, they are unlikely to ever do work before the appointed time. In general, phlegmatic people have a special approach to the workflow. They spend a significant part of their time thinking about their actions, and only after the phlegmatic person has determined the most effective way to complete the task, which requires minimal energy consumption, will they start working directly. But the work will be completed on time!
Phlegmatic people don't like change. They prefer to do one thing at a time, and they don't like to switch between different activities. If a phlegmatic person needs to do several things in a certain time, then he should know in advance exactly how many and which ones, because only in this way will he be able to properly distribute his efforts and energy.
Thanks to their self-control and ability to perform any work, even the most monotonous, efficiently and intently, phlegmatics become excellent lawyers, teachers, doctors, and investigators. They make excellent scientists and engineers, as well as good system administrators (here their self-control and self-control are very useful;)). In addition, phlegmatic people can work as a mechanic or work on a conveyor belt.
For phlegmatic people, time passes more slowly than it actually does. That is, according to their inner sense of time, a minute is longer than in reality. That is why phlegmatics are slow.
You are phlegmatic if:
* calm.
• slow.
* have excellent self-control, patience and excellent command of your feelings and emotions;
* persistent.
* you can hardly switch from one task to another.
• you have excellent performance.
