, reading fiction stimulates the 
development of the child: even at preschool age, with the help of an adult, a child can 
understand a lot and go beyond what he is capable of on his own. 
Literature is a source of spiritual information for preschoolers, makes you think 
about life issues, reveals the meaning and meaning of truth and justice, acts of 
conscience, teaches you to accept the pain and joy of other people. the child's 
formulation of his own rules of life. Fiction is an incentive for one's own spiritual 
growth and self-improvement.
A feature of the preschooler reader is that he cannot read. His reading activity is 
based on a different type of perception of art - auditory. At the same time, he has access 
to such subspecies of reading activity as listening, looking at illustrations, thinking 
about what he heard, experiencing what is happening in a literary text. 
In the study of the problem of reading aloud to children of different ages, D. 
Koralek identifies the following positions in determining the importance of reading to 
children: 
• reading aloud is a source of pleasant, valuable and exciting experiences for the 
child, motivating him to read independently; 
• providing the child with background knowledge that helps to understand the 
world around him; 
• showing the child an example of a reading person who likes what he does; 
• help in comprehending and distinguishing genres of literature that the child 
cannot master on his own; 
• introducing the child to the best form of the native language - literary; 
• stimulating the development of the child's imagination, imagining people, 
places, times, events described in a work of art [14].

The duration and laboriousness of the process of educating the reader determines 
the division of the list of works of art by age, so the tasks of introducing children to 
fiction for children may vary by age. V. V. Gerbova points out the need for a systematic 
process of introducing a preschooler to reading fiction, reading to children every day, 
solving program problems in the classroom and outside them 
All things considered, it can be concluded that had it not for the literature, our 
world, as we are used to living, would have been disparate. It plays a pivotal role in
