That represents cortisol and its functions 
Cortisol, or hydrocortisone, is the main glucocorticosteroid produced in the 
fascicular adrenal cortex. Cortisol is a stress hormone that is released in large quantities 
in stressful situations. In turn, this causes an increase in blood glucose levels, because 
in such conditions the body requires more energy. 
Cortisol enhances the action of adrenaline and norepinephrine (other stress 
hormones), making the body better able to deal with so-called stressors.
Conception as the beginning of the reproductive process 
The study of the process of conception meets a lot of difficulties. This process is 
very intimate, very significant both for its participants and for their immediate 
environment. The biopsychosocial approach allows us to comprehensively consider the 
problems associated with conception, to reveal many unconscious mechanisms of this 
process, to understand the reasons for its features in a particular case. From a biological 
point of view, the success of conception, the course of pregnancy and childbirth is 
largely related to the state of mental and physical health of potential parents at the time 
of conception. Of course, the presence or absence of diseases and a hereditary factor 
also matter.
A large role is played by the material well-being of the family, the peculiarities 
of work or study, social conditions, etc. The age of the parents is simultaneously a 
psychosocial and biological factor. Recent studies have shown that in 28.6% of women 
in the age group 36 years and older, pregnancy is the cause of a deterioration in health, 
and in women aged 21–25 years this is observed almost four times less often 
(Bezrukova ON, 2007). Features of conception and its consequences may be related to 
whether it was planned or happened by accident, whether the emotional reactions of a 
woman and a man to a pregnancy that have arisen are similar. [1]
