Chapter 5. Conclusion and Recommendations 
The results of the research demonstrated that there was a meaningful relationship between the 
local food consumption and interpersonal factors in the North of Iran as a tourism destination. 
The third research question was: "what are the cultural factors influencing the 
consumption of local food and beverages in the North of Iran as a tourism destination?" 
The results showed that there was a meaningful relationship between the local food 
consumption and cultural factors in the North of Iran as a tourism destination. 
The fourth finding in relation to research question was: "what are the physiological 
factors influencing the consumption of local food and beverages in the North of Iran as 
a tourism destination?" The results showed that there was a meaningful relationship 
between the local food consumption and physiological factors in the North of Iran as a 
tourism destination. 
The fifth research question was: "what is the prestige-related factor influencing the 
consumption of local food and beverages in the North of Iran as a tourism destination?" 
The results showed that there was a meaningful relationship between the local food 
consumption and the prestige related factor in the North of Iran as a tourism destination, but 
it didn't play an effective role in choosing food other than their own local food, because the 
mean is lower than the theoretical means (µ=2.29).
