ECHINODERMATA
Sea stars:
Purple or ochre star, Pisaster ochraceus (3 purple, 1 ochre)
Mottled star, Evasterias troschelii (3 large sizes with unexpected orange colour)
Blood star, Henricia leviuscula leviuscula (3)
Rose star, Crossaster papposus (13 arms and orange/red ring on dorsum)
Sea urchins:
Red sea urchin, Strongylocentrotus franciscanus
Green sea urchin, Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis
NB: as identified in the Collection Permit, these 2 specimens were preserved with permission from Tara to deposit the specimens in the Beaty Biodiversity Museum Education Collection.
