INTRODUCTION (abstract of PhD thesis) 
The aim of research work. 
The scientific study of the composition, structure, 
and textual aspects of ‘Ali Shīr Navā’ī's manuscripts kept in the fund of the Institute 
of Oriental Studies, Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, comparing them with copies in 
foreign collections, identifying their achievements and finding a way to the author's 
version, reconstruction theoretical views and by this researching and paving the way 
for the creation of their new scientific publications.
 
The object of research 
is the manuscripts of ‘Ali Shīr Navā’ī's 
divans
kept in 
the fund of the Institute of Oriental Studies, Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences.
 
Scientific novelty of the research is as follows: 
It has been proved that the 20 manuscripts of the Navā’ī collection from the 15
th
to the 1
st
quarter of the 20
th
century and 2 manuscripts of the Hamid Suleiman Fund 
were compared with the manuscripts of the poet's collections which kept in the funds 
of Turkey, Iran, UK, France, Russia and the United States, and the studied 
importance of textuality in relation to other copies in the fund according to the 
principles of historicity, completeness, reliability; 
It has been proved that the textual study of the colophons inscribed on the 
manuscripts of the Navā’ī 
divans
were studied, and it has been proved that their 
peculiarities in the tradition of manuscripts are important official documents of 
source studies;
It has been proved the thematic classification of ‘Ali Shīr Navā’ī's ghazals as 
early as the 16
th
century is based on the study of the titles of the important 
manuscripts of 
Khazā’in al-ma‘ānī
(A Treasure Trove of Thoughts) and 
Selected 
Divan
in terms of antiquity and reliability; 
It has been proved that each of the 4 manuscripts of Navā’ī's 
Selected Divan
was 
copied in its original way, and that one of the copies of the 
Selected Divan
of the 19
th
century contained two gazelles that were not included in other 
divans
; 
It has been proved that the composition and structure of Navā’ī 
divans
also have 
features that differ them from the 
divan
traditions in relation to the period and the 
copyists milieu, in particular, the literary processes developed in and around the 
palace and abroad.
