Lorenzo de’ Medici - Tuscania 15 Jan 2005
Lorenzo de’Medici School of Tuscania
Professional Study Certificates and Seminars
Course Listing: 2005-2006
The Professional Study Certificate (PSC) Program is intended to give a decisive contribution to the student’s professional career. During the course of one year, students will broaden their formative experience by contributing in artistic projects. The teachers are critically acclaimed professionals who will guide students as they realize important artistic and performing arts productions.
The participants to the Film/TV Professional and Study certificates will take active part in the production of movies, documentaries and other formats, through the collaboration of the Technical Studios and A.I.C. (Director of Photography Association) of Cinecittà in Rome. The final products, depending on their quality, will be distributed to the public through TV Networks.
Theatre students will produce a performance to be staged in various Theatres under the guidance of a Director and other professionals, in affiliation with the (Viterbo, Tuscania and Caprarola “Quartieri dell’Arte” Festival) local theatre festival, which is associated with the Royal National Theatre, London and the Burgtheater, Vienna, and the Maison Europèenne des Eècritures Contemporaines (MEEC), Paris. In addition, students will have the opportunity to create their own performance project.
In the Lighting Design program, students will learn a spectrum of technical and environmental effects which can recreate artistic styles and interpretations of architectural periods, in collaboration with STUDIO 2 in Viterbo.
With respect to Archaeology, thanks to our partnership with the Etruscan Archaeology Department of the University of Florence, and with the S. Giusto Abbey’s laboratory in Tuscania, our students have access to the excavation and restoration work already in progress.
In the area of Art Conservation, Lorenzo de’ Medici students have the chance to work on restoring art works of great value, as the Florence students have done with the Beato Angelico frescoes at San Domenico in Fiesole, a Raphael canvas, marble sculptures by Michelangelo at the Medici Chapel in Florence, and with examples of Maggiolini’s furniture.
