Introduction
The topicality of the theme of the research paper is provided by the following assumptions:

1. 
   by the needs and prospects for further study of cultural analysis of paremias in English and Russian languages;
   
2. 
   by the fact that a great number of linguocultural issues in English and Russian has not been well investigated in terms of theoretical and practical analysis;
   
3. 
   by the effectiveness and importance of comparative analysis and strategies in revealing hidden message beyond discourse in English and Russian proverbs and sayings deeply so as to help language learners and users to cognize them from the linguocultural view.
   

The aim of the work is to study the national and cultural characteristics of proverbs and sayings containing realias in English and Russian
