Leonardo DiCaprio is among the most talented and well-known of all actors of the current generation. His impeccable eye for choosing box office smashing roles and extreme talent for portraying anyone from Howard Hughes to the mentally handicapped and lovable Arnie in What's Eating Gilbert Grape has earned lovely Leo world wide fame and admiration.

Born November 11, 1974 in Los Angeles, Leonardo Wilhelm DiCaprio is the son of Irmelin Indenbirken and George DiCaprio. Leo was named after the artist Leonardo da Vinci, as his pregnant mother was standing in front of a da Vinci painting the first time she felt him kick. His 1994 Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role in What's Eating Gilbert Grape landed Leo the spot of 7th youngest actor to ever be nominated - at age 19. Leo received formal acting instruction from the well-known Acting Coach, Thell Reed. Reed has worked with such actors as Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Val Kilmer, and Russell Crowe.
