The aim: to explore of analysis in context, history and literature, literature as history and cultural contexts.
Objectives: To make aware of the purpose of the course
Activity Type:	Individual, small group, whole class (teacher-students)

Warm-up. (10 min.)
Objectives: to lead-in to the topic and to raise students’ interest to it.
Materials: board, marker, book
Procedure:

• 
  Write the word ‘What do you know about context?’ on the board.
  
• 
  Allow them to guess and give their answers. The students may give many different answers.
  
• 
  Then, to reflect on context related phrases used for different literary works and in different contexts.
