Procedure
Pre-activity;
(5 min, speaking)
For warming up activity, I ask pupils to work in pairs and find three things that they have in common and then report back in the class.
We use could modal verb to express posibility or past ability
[ Sub+could+verb+when I was child.]
[ I could play when I was child.]
For ex: Anvar: I could swim, read, play the guitar when I was child.
Davron: I could swim, read, and play the guitar when I was child.
Then, They should repeat what could they do in common.
We both could swim, read, and play the guitar when we were child.
While-activities;
(5 min, vocabulary,writing)
Write the sentences correctly.
1. Could/swim/you?

Everyone sits in a row or a circle and one pupil is given a sentence, whispered in their ear. They then whisper it to the next pupil who tells the next pupil and so on. The last pupil will repeat what they heard.
For example: I could swim.

My yesterday's day
First, I woke up. Then I got dressed. I walked to school. I could not ride a bike. I could not ride the bus. I liked to go to school. It rained. I do not like rain. I ate lunch. I ate sandwich and an apple. I could play outside. I like to play. I could read a book. I like to read books. I walked home. I do not like walking home. My mother cooked soup for dinner. The soup was hot. Then, I went to go bed. I do not like to go bed.
