• L: -What shall we start with? I have a list of museums we dreamt to visit. There are a lot of things there. What museum will be the first?
• K: -Let’s see on the map what museum is the nearest and how we can get there.
• L: -Have a look: the nearest museum is the British Museum. We can walk there, but it will take us about 40 minutes or we can get there by red double-decker. What do you prefer?
• K: -Let’s go by bus, it will save our time.
• L: -Ok, settled. Let’s go right now.

• L: -Kate, it was great! The British Museum is splendid!
• K: -I can’t help admiring those collections of beautiful thongs.
• L: -It’s a pity we have only one day at our disposal to look atthem.
• K: -If we plan our time carefully, we’ll return to it but a bit later, I hope.

• The Natural History Museum
• The Museum houses 68 million specimens of animals, plants, minerals, rocks, fossils. It was first opened to the public in 1881. It was a department of the British Museum but it’s collection grew and it moved to a new building. Now it is famous all over the world for it’s beautiful galleries. The visitors can enjoy exhibitions about the natural world: dinosaurs, meteorites, cosmic mineralogy, origin of species, human biology, ecology, etc. There are 1.7 million visitors to the Museum each year. It is also a very important scientific center. More than 300 scientists study the diversity of nature in 5 departments
