The demand for 
construction workers, as surprising as it may 
seem, is declining as well, and all because of 3D printing, which 
reduces the time and money needed to construct a building 
by 70 to 80 %. It is for this reason that 3D printers will soon take 
over the jobs of millions of people. UAE authorities have even 
stated that by 2039 a quarter of materials used in the construc-
tion of all new Dubai buildings will be 3D-printed. In other 
words, construction workers should already consider getting 
a degree in engineering as a backup plan.
We have already discussed how 
accountants are facing the 
risk of losing their relevance. This threat is quite real: more and 
more companies all over the world are replacing paper docu-
ments with electronic accounting. This allows them to reduce 
the size of their “army of accountants”, keeping only a few 
people, as it is now easier to deal with a pile of paperwork. 
On the other hand, high demand is expected in the coming 
years for such related specialties as a personal plan developer, 
auditor, financial strategy planner, etc.
Now that we have found out what professions are gradually losing their 
relevance, let’s see which ones have the highest demand. These profes-
sions are also known as the jobs of the future.
