Currently PPTA consultants are working on the 
development conceptual design of service 
centers. In parallel national Feasibility study will 
be prepared based on international design

makhalla (construction of collection points)?
No, under this program collection points will not 
be constructed.

Yes, it will be recommended that for civil works 
not requiring specific skills local population 
should be hired
What during operation - will local people get 
any benefit from this service center
The main target of construction of this centers will 
be providing proper maintenance for trucks 
purchased under the project. Truck will work for 
Toza Hudud which means wastes collection and 
their disposal will improve. Moreover, local 
people may get job on this creating center.

Is it possible to construct a noise shield in 
makhalla?
Yes, as part of EMP for sites where population 
lives close to the project site (Namangan and 
Tashkent) installation of acoustic barrier will be 
required. Moreover, it is recommended that 
Contractor will have undertake monitoring of 
noise level on weekly base. And in case of 
exceeding 
additional 
measures 
will 
be 
undertaken. If noise from construction activity will 
bother you can apply to GRM and Contractor will 
react as well.

national companies? Which standards will be 
priority - international or national?
As a contractor - both national and international 
companies could participate in the bidding. The 
conceptual design of service centers considers 
both - national and international requirements.
