The aim of the research The periodical press of Turkestan, published in 1918-1924, consists of studying the issues of the history of economic and political processes in foreign countries.
The object of the research is the history of coverage of economic and political processes related to foreign countries in periodicals published in Turkestan in 1918-1924.
The subject of the research Economics and coverage of political processes in foreign countries in the periodical press of Turkestan (1918-1924).
Scientific novelty of the research consists of the followings:
Periodical press publications of the years 1918-1924 are described according to their characteristics, in particular, the place of publication, fields, by which organizations they were published, and according to their ideological content, and are presented in a chronological system;
He covered the events that happened in foreign countries. The personalities and activities of journalists are revealed through articles in Turkestan periodicals;
The processes that took place in countries such as Germany, England, France, and Italy have been proven based on information from the newspapers and magazines "Ishtirokyun", "Kizil Bayrak", "Turkiston", "Zarafshan", "Inqilob".
The coverage of the economic and political processes in the Eastern and Muslim countries in the Turkestan press and the interrelationships between them are based on press materials.
The articles published in the periodical press on the political, economic and diplomatic relations of Turkestan with foreign countries were analyzed in the form of source data;
It is justified that the events that took place in foreign countries influenced the development of the worldview of the people of Turkestan;
In the newspapers and magazines "Yangi Sharq", "Darkhan", "Khalq Gazeti", "Zarafshan", "Fergana", "Inqilob", "Bilim Ochogi", "Bolalar dunyasi", "Uzgarishchi Yoshlar", "Kizil Yol" Materials published in Uzbek (Chigatay) language were included in scientific circulation for the first time.
The implementation of the research results. From the materials presented in his dissertation, based on the periodical press materials published in 1918-1924, based on the scientific conclusions of local press bodies, their activities, publishers, journalists, and the importance of press bodies in the development of the social and political opinions of the people of the country, published in Kokand city and Fergana region during this period, Kokand city "Allomalar" museum" was used to enrich the fund (Reference No. 02-01/2487 dated August 12, 2022 of the Cultural Heritage Agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan)
The scientific results of the dissertation were practically used to create a digitized library of press bodies and works of local source importance preserved in the “Nodir nashrlar” (Rare Publications) fund of the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi. (Information and mass communications agency under the administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan dated June 23, 2022 No. 02 – 20 /642). The presented information is of great importance for a wider study of the activities of national intellectuals based on sources, and for researching the history of jadidizm.
The periodicals published in 1918-1924 used scientific conclusions on the coverage of economic and political processes in foreign countries in the preparation of the "Open Lesson" program of the "History of Uzbekistan" TV channel. (Reference No. 06-31-539 dated March 3, 2022 of NTRK of Uzbekistan, "History of Uzbekistan" TV channel). The presented information served to provide the audience with new historical information about newspapers and magazines published in Turkestan during this period, and the extent to which events in foreign countries were covered in them.
The structure and volume of the dissertation. The dissertation consists of
an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a list of references and literature. The
research part of the thesis is pages.
