Principle of Justice. Family members have the right to impartial judgment in conflicts, and the responsibility to promote the same for others.
When family members have different ideas or uncontrolled behavior, conflicts can arise. The principle of justice provides a process to ensure that family members resolve their conflicts and keep moving forward on their tasks. By teaching ourselves to intervene in our own conflicts—a management strategy illustrated on this site—we increase our chances of representation and justice. Although the term "justice" implies a group activity, the explicitness of the intervening (conflict resolution) strategy gives the term "process" clarity. Each individual in the conflict has a set of steps to follow to receive a just resolution.
