If the current speaker asks someone a question, the person to whom the
question is addressed is compelled to answer. The brief exchange below
consists of three question/answer adjacency pairs, with the last sequence
consisting of two questions – Oh do you want some more and  What do you
think – before an answer is provided.

If the current speaker does not select another party to speak, the other
