Media Check in

The check in function in Media Manager is much the same as the check in function in normal circulation. To check in Media Manager items, follow these steps:

1. 
   Click on “Assets” on the Navigator Toolbar
   
2. 
   Click on the “Media Check In”
   
3. 
   The Items to check in radio button will be selected and the items due within the selected date range display.
   
4. 
   Check the box for the item(s) and select the Check in button
   

Media Barcodes

Staff can print barcodes for equipment. To print equipment barcodes, follow these steps:

1. 
   Click on “Assets” on the Navigator Toolbar
   
2. 
   Click on the “Media Barcode” button
   
3. 
   From the “Category” dropdown list, choose the type of barcodes you want to create
   
4. 
   If you are using a previously created layout, choose from the “Custom Layout” dropdown list
   
5. 
   To create a new layout, click on the “Custom” button
   
6. 
   Click on New and enter a name
   
7. 
   Double click on the variable you like to see on the label
   
8. 
   Click with the right mouse to add the barcode image
   
9. 
   Click on Save
   
10. 
    You may also choose how you wish the labels to be sorted, and you may choose the start column and row, as well as number of copies for printing the barcodes
    
11. 
    Specify the search criteria for the items and then click on the preview button to see and then print results if needed
    
12. 
    You can also use the “Export/ Import” button to export or import a label layout
