    How proportional regulator valve works for a pneumatic system?
    

The proportional valve is a continuous valve that, with the help of a proportional magnet, not only gives discrete switching positions, but also a constant valve opening transition. Proportional valves are used in hydraulics and pneumatics, especially where variable volumetric flows are required. They usually have a nonlinear volumetric flow characteristic and are therefore less suitable for control tasks than servo valves.
