Model Answer 
Some people feel that, within the next hundred years, life will become
better for the majority of people. Others are less sure. 
What is your opinion about this? 
Many people recognize that the world is filled with problems today - from
environmental concerns to conflicts at the national and international levels.
Because of these issues, some people worry about what the world will be
like in a hundred years or so, thinking things will be worse. However, I
believe that life will have greatly improved by then.
Technology has been advancing as researchers continually try to find ways
to make life more comfortable and solve the issues plaguing the world.
Thus, in a hundred years, people's lives should be much better since they
will have access to more effective medicines, energy-efficient machines,
and technology designed to solve problems, such as climate change, traffic
congestion, and pollution. 
Another thing the future generations can look forward to is a more socially
conscious society. Even now, people are fighting for social justice.
Organizations are trying to close the gap between the rich and poor,
promote equality in the workplace, and protect the rights of women and
children at home. So if this is happening now, then it can be expected that
these problems will be less prevalent or possibly non-existent in the next
century. 
Finally, many key leaders in various governments today have recognized
the need to cooperate rather than perennially compete with other nations.
Since there is just one earth, these leaders are now finding ways to work
together on important issues, setting aside their differences for the sake of
all. Therefore, in a hundred years, world peace – at least for the majority of
the countries – is something to finally look forward to as humankind should
be more united than it is now. 
To sum up, today's efforts are already leading to promising signs that things
will be better in a hundred years. So instead of worrying about what

tomorrow will bring, people should do their part to ensure a better future.
