Распространение. В Джизакской, Самарканд­
ской и Навоийской областях: хребты Нуратау и Ак­
тау.
Места обитания. Каменисто-щебнистые скло­
ны нижнего и среднего пояса гор.
Численность. Встречается редко, единично или 
небольшими популяциями.
Размножение. Семенное.
Причины изменения численности и ареала.
Основную угрозу представляет чрезмерный выпас 
скота.
Культивирование. Сведений нет.
Меры охраны. Охраняется в Нуратинском госу­
дарственном заповеднике.

Endemic species o f the Nuratau mountains. It is spread 
at the Nuratau and Aktau ranges (jizzakh, Samarkand and 
Navoi regions). Inhabits stony and gravelly o f the lower 
and middle belts o f mountains. Single specimens and small 
populations occur sporadically. Limiting factors: overgraz­
ing. Measures o f protection: protected in the Nuratau state 
reserve.

Rare endemic species o f the Western Tien-Shan. 
I t is spread at the western outskirts o f the Chatkal 
and Kurama ranges (Tashkent region). Inhabits dry 
dry gravelly slopes and semi-fixed screes in the upper 
m ountain zone o f mountains. 6 populations were re­
vealed. Each o f them occupies a small area and is not 
numerous. Plants irregularly distant one fro m other, 
single, an average 1-2 specimens p e r 100 m2 can be 
observed. Total num ber is approximately evaluated at 
4 5 0 0 -5 000. Lim iting factors: low com petition capac­
ity. I t grow s in the zone o f intensive sum m er pasturing. 
I t is eaten by wild and domestic animals. Measures o f  
p rotection: protected in the Chatkal biosphere state re­
serve and Ugam-Chatkal biosphere reserve.
