Do you tend to get sick often ?

No,  I  d o n ’t tend to get ill very often.  I get a cold once or twice a year, 

but  th a t’s  ab o u t  it  - 1  d o n ’t  often  have  symptoms  o th er  than  a  cough 

and runny nose, and they usually go after a few days, or maybe a week. 

I think I’m very lucky!

Have you ever been  very seriously ill?

I  haven’t ever  had  a serious  illness, but  I  can  rem em ber being very ill 

when  I was younger.  I  had  terrible  fever and  I was  hallucinating a  lot

-  my  parents w ere  really w orried  about  me.  Fortunately  it w asn’t  too 

long before  I  recovered.

Do you like going to the dentist’s?

N ot  really  - 1  find  it  really  uncom fortable  having my  m outh  open  for 

so long and I d o n ’t like having som eone else’s face th at close to mine! 

But I  d o n ’t m ind the dentist -  I ’m  not scared,  like som e people!

How regularly do you go fo r a check-up at the doctor’s and dentist’s?

I go  to  the  dentist  every  th ree  to  six m onths for a check up.  It  is  easy 

to go quite regularly because we have family appointm ents, so my D ad 

takes  me,  my  b ro th er  and  my  sister  and  we  all  get  check-ups  at  the 

same time.  It ju st m akes  life easier!  I  hardly ever go to the doctor for 

a check-up  - once  or twice  a year at the  most.
