There are AT LEAST 24 HUGE PROBLEMS with this doctrine:

1.  Jesus NEVER CALLED Peter “Pope” or even “bishop”.

 

2.   Jesus NEVER SAID Peter would have “successors”.

 

3.    Jesus NEVER SAID His Church would be built on Peter.

 

It’s JESUS’ Church, NOT Peter’s church (Matthew 16:18).

 

4.    Peter himself says 7 TIMES that Jesus is the rock on which the TRUE Church is built (Acts 4:11-12; 1 Peter 2:3-8).

 

Peter NEVER CLAIMED TO BE THE ROCK ON WHICH CHRIST’S CHURCH IS BUILT.

In order to believe that Peter is “the rock” on which ROMAN CATHOLICISM is built, ONE HAS TO DISBELIEVE Peter himself, Paul, and God who calls Himself “the rock” 45 TIMES in Scripture.

5. God says that there is NO OTHER ROCK beside Himself (2 Samuel 22:32; Psalm 18:31).

 

6. Paul tells us THAT NO ONE can put another Church foundation OTHER THAN Christ Himself (1 Corinthians 3:11).

 

 7. Jesus said that HE would build HIS Church, NOT that a Roman emperor would “build it” in the FOURTH CENTURY.

 8.  JESUS NEVER SAID His Church was A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION, but rather A SPIRITUAL ENTITY (Luke 17:21; John 3:5; Acts 2:1-4; 9:31; Romans 8:9,16; 1 Corinthians 12:13).

9. Jesus explicitly taught that His Kingdom was INVISIBLE. That you couldn’t say “Look, here it is” or “Look, there it is”, but that the Kingdom of God is WITHIN US (Luke 17:21).

10. Jesus never said His Church would be A RELIGION based in Rome, or that it would be headquartered in a Palace (Acts 7:48)

11. Jesus founded His Church IN JERUSALEM, NOT Rome (Acts 2:1-5; 8:1; 15:2; 18:22; 21:17).

12. Neither Jesus, nor any of His apostles, EVER AUTHORIZED His Church’s headquarters to be relocated from Jerusalem to Rome.

Consequently, THE RELIGION of Roman Catholicism CANNOT BE “the Church that Jesus founded”.

13. Jesus NEVER EVEN WENT TO Rome: Nor did Peter.

14. Jesus commissioned Peter to preach TO JEWS, NOT GENTILES. And Romans ARE GENTILES (Galatians 2:7; 1 Peter 1:1-2).

15. Peter was a humble fisherman, NOT a religious superstar.

16. Peter never sat on any “Throne”, nor lived in a fancy Palace, filled with fineries and artistic masterpieces.

17. Peter GAVE HIS LIFE for Jesus.

NO POPE has ever been martyred for Jesus.

18. Peter was Jewish, NOT Roman.

Christ’s Apostles weren’t Italian, they were JEWISH.

They weren’t Polish, German or Argentinean either.

Every so-called “successor of Peter” who has occupied what the Catholic religion FALSELY calls “the throne of Peter” HAS BEEN Italian.

Pope John Paul II finally “broke the mold” in 1978 being from Poland. He was followed in 2005 by Benedict XVI a German. He was followed by Argentine Pope Francis in 2013.

NOT ONE “Pope” has been Jewish like Peter.

There goes Roman credibility…

19. While ANY Roman Catholic can be eternally saved by receiving Jesus into his/her heart as ONLY God and Savior, Salvation, as Jesus Himself said, COMES FROM THE JEWS, NOT FROM the Romans (John 4:22).

20. Jesus Himself was Jewish, NOT Roman.

HOW CAN a Roman Pope, and Italian “Pope”, a Polish, German or Argentinean “Pope” call himself “the Vicar (SUBSTITUTE) of Christ on earth”???

21. THERE IS NO “SUBSTITUTE” FOR JESUS.

Peter NEVER CLAIMED to be Jesus’ “SUBSTITUTE” OR EXCLUSIVE “representative” on earth.

NONE of the apostles ever exhibited such ARROGANCE.

22.  Consequently, the Roman Catholic RELIGION is NOT BASED ON either Christ or Peter.

23. NONE OF THE APOSTLES exalted Mary, praised Mary, prayed to Mary, lit candles to Mary, prayed “rosaries” and “novenas” to her, made her statues, KNELT BEFORE Mary, sang her hymns, asked her to intercede before Jesus for them, made her medals, paintings, prayer cards, and other religious paraphernalia.

 They never claimed Mary was a “perpetual virgin”, “conceived WITHOUT original sin”, or that she experienced a private “rapture” (Assumption) “IN BODY AND SOUL” to heaven.

Jesus and His apostles NEVER said that “Mary” would “appear” in various ways, through various STATUES, bearing different names.

24. The Roman religion INVENTED the ENTIRELY extra-biblical CULT OF MARY which neither Jesus, nor His apostles, ever authorized.

OH, FOOLISH CHRISTIANS!!!

“O FOOLISH Galatians! Who HAS BEWITCHED YOU? …I would like to learn just one thing from you: DID YOU RECEIVE THE SPIRIT BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, OR BY BELIEVING…? (Romans 8:9)

Are you SO FOOLISH? After beginning by the Spirit, are you now trying to finish BY MEANS OF THE FLESH?

Have you EXPERIENCED SO MUCH IN VAIN—if it really was in vain?

So AGAIN I ASK, DOES GOD GIVE YOU HIS SPIRIT AND WORK MIRACLES AMONG YOU BY THE WORKS OF THE LAW, OR BY YOUR BELIEVING  what you heard?

So also Abraham ‘BELIEVED GOD, AND IT was credited to him AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.’

Understand, then, that THOSE WHO HAVE FAITH are children of Abraham.

Scripture foresaw THAT GOD WOULD JUSTIFY the Gentiles BY FAITH, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations (Gentiles) will be blessed through you.”

So THOSE WHO RELY ON FAITH ARE BLESSED along with Abraham, the man of faith.

For ALL WHO RELY ON THE WORKS OF THE LAW ARE UNDER A CURSE, as it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do EVERYTHING written in the Book of the Law.”

Clearly NO ONE WHO RELIES ON THE LAW IS JUSTIFIED before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” THE LAW IS NOT BASED ON FAITH...” (Galatians 3:1-12)

Boy, do I know how the Apostle Paul felt!!!

Do I identify with, and TOTALLY UNDERSTAND, his FRUSTRATION!!!

A week ago today, I published a message entitled “NO BOASTING”.

Imagine my dismay when THE FIRST THING a person who has followed this ministry FOR YEARS FELT COMPELLED TO DO WAS… BOAST!!!

BOAST about “how much” he loves Jesus and, because he “loves Him” so much HE “KEEPS THE 10 COMMANDMENTS” AND “OBEYS HIS LAW”.

I take it, then, that Abraham DID NOT love God or Jesus:

Because Abraham NEITHER KEPT THE 10 COMMANDMENTS, nor OBEYED the Sinai Law…

EVER!!!

And yet Abraham was DECLARED RIGHTEOUS BY GOD, based ONLY on His Faith, as we read above, and as is recorded – FOR ALL ETERNITY – in Genesis 15:6.

I take it, then, that God LIED in Hebrews 10:1 when He referred TO THE SINAI LAW, INCLUDING THE 10 Commandments, AS “A SHADOW”.

And NO SHADOW IS EVER THE REAL THING.

NO SHADOW PLEASES God.

Those who TRULY LOVE JESUS DO NOT OBEY “SHADOWS”, or seek shadows.

Because He IS the REAL!!!

Glory to His Name forevermore!!!

Those who TRULY LOVE JESUS, love Him much because they HAVE BEEN FORGIVEN MUCH, NOT because of how well they claim to “have obeyed” Him. (Luke 7:47)

LOVE (Jesus) is the REAL THING, THE PERFECT AND HIGHEST LAW IN THE UNIVERSE (Psalm 19:7), BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE. (1 John 4:16)

This individual CLAIMS to be born-again.

As much as I WANT TO believe that he is – whether he really is or not, I’ll leave to Jesus – HIS ATTITUDE IS NOT the attitude of a born-again person.

A born again person DOES NOT BOAST about keeping the 10 Commandments or the Sinai Law.

A born-again person UNDERSTANDS that there are NONE righteous except Jesus. (Psalm 53:1; Isaiah 64:6)

A born-again person KNOWS that “ALL HAVE SINNED and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23; 1 John 1:8).

Hence, he or she DOES NOT BOAST about “keeping the 10 Commandments” or “obeying the Sinai Law”.

They understand that ALL IT TAKES IS ONE sin – JUST ONE – in your ENTIRE LIFE to become a LAW BREAKER and fall under A CURSE (Galatians 3:10; James 2:8-10)

And NO ONE can live under Grace, be justified by faith, and SIMULTANEOUSLY “keep” the 10 Commandments and “obey” the Sinai Law.

NO ONE!!!

“Christ is THE END OF THE LAW for righteousness to EVERYONE THAT BELIEVES” (Romans 10:4).

Are you a believer in Christ?

Then YOU CANNOT “obey” the Sinai Law. Because Christ is THE END OF that Law.

If you CLAIM to obey the Sinai Law, after Calvary, as traditional Jews do today, YOU ARE ANTI-CHRIST.

You are also UNSAVED:

“And if by Grace, then IT IS NO LONGER BY WORKS (and the Sinai Law and the 10 Commandments ARE ALL ABOUT WORKS) – otherwise GRACE IS NO MORE GRACE” (ROMANS 11:6).

“CHRIST HAS BECOME OF NO EFFECT TO YOU, WHOEVER YOU ARE justified by the law; you HAVE FALLEN FROM Grace.” (Galatians 5:4)

Those who “FALL FROM Grace” are in DIS-GRACE, hence LOST.

And if Christ has become “OF NO EFFECT” TO SOMEONE, THAT SOMEONE IS HEADED FOR HELL.

I don’t care HOW MUCH they MAY CLAIM to “love” Jesus.

I have done MORE TEACHING ON THIS TOPIC – than on ANYTHING ELSE, and probably more than ALL OTHER TOPICS COMBINED.

I have DESTROYED the “faith plus works” doctrine, with Scripture… I have PULVERIZED legalism with the Word of God and the Spirit of God, IN EVERY CONCEIVABLE WAY, AND FROM EVERY CONCEIVABLE ANGLE.

And yet, there are still those possessed by a demonic Pharisaic spirit, WHO WANTS TO BOAST like the Pharisee of old about “HOW WELL” he “kept” the Sinai Law.

Jesus said the publican, who COULDN’T EVEN RAISE HIS EYES TO HEAVEN, beat on his chest, and said ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner!’ WENT HOME JUSTIFIED:

The BOASTFUL Pharisee WASN’T justified. (Luke18:9-14)

In fact Jesus called Pharisees “snakes”, “CHILDREN OF HELL” and warned that they WOULD NOT ESCAPE HELL’S TORMENT, despite ALL THEIR STINKING, REVOLTING BOASTFULNESS AND SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS. (Matthew 23:15, 33)

Grace and Law are INCOMPATIBLE.

It’s one or the other.

I’LL TELL YOU WHAT REALLY IS BEHIND this type of boasting:

PRIDE and UNBELIEF.

Pride because such individuals, like the Pharisee in the parable, CLAIM to “love Jesus” MORE THAN THE REST OF US, hence to be “more obedient than” us “publicans”.

UNBELIEF because THE REAL REASON THEY WON’T LET GO OF THE SINAI LAW and the 10 Commandments IS NOT, as they falsely claim, their “great love” for Jesus, IT’S THAT THEY DON’T TRUST JESUS.

Again: THE ONLY REASON they WON’T LET GO of the Sinai Law or the 10 C’s, is THEY ARE AFRAID THAT JESUS ALONE MIGHT NOT BE SUFFICIENT TO SAVE THEM.

Since “faith” (pisteos) means “TO TRUST”, and Salvation is ONLY through faith, these people ARE LOST.

They HAVE NO FAITH in Jesus: that is WHY THEY STILL CLING to the BARRENNESS of Sinai and to DEAD tablets of stone etched with “commandments”:

AS AN EXTRA “insurance policy” to “protect” them FROM HELL, because DEEP DOWN INSIDE, they DO NOT CONSIDER JESUS SUFFICIENT TO SAVE THEM TO THE UTTERMOST (Hebrews 7:25).

They DO NOT CONSIDER Jesus’ priceless, sinless Blood SUFFICIENT to FOREVER REMOVE ALL SIN, TO THE POINT that God NO LONGER COUNTS sins against us who are in Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:19; Hebrews 9:26)

THAT is to what it all ultimately boils down.

They can FOOL THEMSELVES all they want, but they DO NOT FOOL JESUS, or me.

These modern Pharisees CAN COUNT ON going to hell.

We’ll just see HOW MUCH they “BOAST” ABOUT THEIR “great love” FOR JESUS, about their ALLEGED “commandment keeping” and “Law keeping”, when they’re STUCK IN HADES.

Then, perhaps, they’ll come to realize their folly, when IT DAWNS ON THEM that THE ONLY WAY OUT OF HELL will be to cry, like the publican of old:

“LORD, I HAVE NO RIGHTEOUSNESS: I’ve NEVER kept your commandments or obeyed the Law: HAVE MERCY ON ME, A SINNER!!!”

 THE IMPOSSIBLE VERSES

"Was not Abraham our father JUSTIFIED BY WORKS, when he had offered Isaac his son on the altar?

You SEE how faith worked with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

And the scripture WAS FULFILLED which said, Abraham BELIEVED God, AND IT WAS IMPUTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS: and he was called the Friend of God.

You SEE then that A MAN IS JUSTIFIED BY WORKS, and not by faith only." (James 2:21-24)

That is how this Scripture reads in most English translations of the Bible.

Problem is: that IS NOT what it says in the original Greek.

Repeat: that is NOT what the ORIGINAL Book of James says.

English Bibles did not exist until the 14th century A.D.

That means there were NO ENGLISH BIBLES UNTIL some 1,300 years AFTER the New Testament was written.

By then, Rome had made its own "translations" of the original Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek into Latin.

Their main translator, Jerome, commissioned by Pope Damasus, REVISED his translation to conform to official Church doctrine.

Later, Jerome's translation would be further "edited" by various translators who CAPRICIOUSLY inserted punctuation marks - NONEXISTENT in the original text - WHERE THEY BEST SUITED the BIASED, UNILATERAL interpretation of religious hierarchy.

When Protestant Reformers took a crack at translating --1,000 years AFTER Jerome performed his magic - they blindly accepted the punctuation marks and, for the most part, Jerome’s translation.

The DISASTROUS RESULTS remain with us to this very day.

According to the English translation of this passage, QUOTED ABOVE, Abraham was declared righteous by God BY HIS WORK of OFFERING UP Isaac.

However, when we go back to the Old Testament, we see THAT that IS FALSE and UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE.

Abram believed God and HIS FAITH ALONE WAS COUNTED TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS - SOME 26 to 33 years BEFORE Isaac was even BORN!!! (Genesis 15:6).

How, then, could he have been JUSTIFIED (declared righteous) BY offering Isaac?

Again: Abram was DECLARED RIGHTEOUS by God LONG BEFORE there was any Isaac.

That is UNDISPUTED, BIBLICAL FACT.

Therefore, if the Vulgate is correct, and if our English translations are correct, God LIED.

We know, of course, that it's IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie (Romans 3:4; Hebrews 6:18).

Therefore, it's ALSO IMPOSSIBLE for MOST English translations of these verses TO BE CORRECT.

Pause for a moment - re-read the last 7 paragraphs, and let this Truth sink in.

It's RELIGION that HAS LIED.

God had declared Abram righteous, BY FAITH ONLY, LONG BEFORE Isaac was BORN, in fact, BEFORE Isaac had even been CONCEIVED by Sarah (Genesis 15:6).

HOW, THEN, can this passage say that Abraham was justified BY WORKS - when he offered up Isaac?

It CAN'T say that.

It DOESN'T say that.

The original NEVER SAID that.

Abraham was NOT justified BY WORKS. NOBODY is justified by works.

Abraham SHOWED the righteousness (faith, salvation) that HE ALREADY HAD by his "work" of offering Isaac.

Abraham PROVED his faith (trust) in God BY OBEDIENTLY OFFERING UP HIS ONLY SON, Isaac, as God had asked.

By his ACTIONS (work of offering his only son) he DEMONSTRATED THE RIGHTEOUSNESS HE ALREADY HAD THROUGH FAITH ONLY.

His INVISIBLE faith (which he already had, and by which he WAS ALREADY SAVED) became “VISIBLE” by his act of OFFERING ISAAC in obedience to God.

Hebrews 11:17-19 tells us that Abraham TRUSTED GOD to the point that HE BELIEVED that even if he offered Isaac in sacrifice, God WOULD RAISE HIS SON FROM THE DEAD.

Since FAITH and RIGHTEOUSNESS ARE INVISIBLE, Abraham DEMONSTRATED (SHOWED) both his faith and the righteousness he already had BY THE VISIBLE ACT of offering his only son.

This is PROVEN BEYOND DOUBT by verse 22 which says:

"You SEE that Abraham's faith and what he did worked together. His faith WAS SHOWN TO BE GENUINE BY WHAT HE DID." (James 2:22, God's Word Translation).

And again in verse 24:

You SEE that a man IS SHOWN TO BE RIGHTEOUS BY WORKS and NOT by faith alone.

The act of offering Isaac was simply TANGIBLE EVIDENCE, VISIBLE PROOF of the Salvation and righteousness that Abraham already had.

James was simply saying: FAITH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS ARE INVISIBLE.

The ONLY WAY TO PROVE THEM, the only way OTHERS CAN "SEE" THEM, is THROUGH OUR ACTIONS.

That is ALL that James was saying.

We SEE a SAVED person's (invisible) RIGHTEOUSNESS -- which he/she already has through Jesus ONLY, BY Grace through FAITH -- by HIS/HER WORKS.

There's NO OTHER WAY we can "SEE" someone's FAITH.

Which part of "you SEE" DON'T RELIGIONISTS get?

Which part of "you SEE", DIDN'T THEY WANT TO understand because THEY'D ALREADY DECIDED - CONTRADICTING SCORES OF SCRIPTURES THAT STATE OTHERWISE - that works played a role in Salvation?

This is the CORRECT translation of James 2:21-24:

"Was not Abraham our father SHOWN TO BE RIGHTEOUS BY WORKS, when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?

You SEE how faith WAS FUNCTIONING TOGETHER WITH his works, and by works was faith EXPRESSED and CONSUMMATED.

And the scripture WAS FULFILLED which said, Abraham BELIEVED God, AND IT WAS IMPUTED TO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS: and he was called the Friend of God.

You SEE then that A MAN SHOWS THE (INVISIBLE) RIGHTEOUSNESS he ALREADY HAS BY WORKS, and not by faith only." (James 2:21-24)

Jesus taught salvation through FAITH ONLY (John 3:16; 5:24)

So did Peter (Acts 15:7-11).

So did Paul (Romans 3:20; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16; Titus 3:5).

So did John (1 John 5:12).

So did Phillip (Acts 8:37)

So did Jude (Jude 1:3)

And SO DID JAMES (Acts 15:13-20; James 1:2-4; 2:8).

There is NO DISCREPANCY WHATSOEVER between James - what he REALLY said -  and the TRUE and ONLY Gospel of Grace.

According to Proverbs 30:6 all those who ADD or change God's Word ARE LIARS.

According to Galatians 1:8 ALL those who preach "ANOTHER gospel" and ADD WORKS as "requirement" for salvation are ACCURSED.

BOWED TO SATAN

Adam BOWED TO satan. Adam WORSHIPED satan.

What? Where did you get that?

From Scripture…  And from the Holy Spirit.

WHY would he do that?

MASCULINE Adam wanted DOMINION of the earth ALL TO HIMSELF:

Thus he conspired with satan to bring about the fall of Eve.

God had GIVEN masculine Adam, feminine Adam, and their spiritual offspring TOTAL DOMINION OVER this planet.

THEY were to be fruitful, multiply, refill the earth and SUBDUE IT. (Genesis 1:27-28)

Satan offered SOLE OWNERSHIP of the planet, instead of JOINT RULE with his feminine self and their spiritual children, to masculine Adam ALONE.

And Adam fell for it.

He betrayed God, his wife and ALL their spiritual and physical offspring in the process.

That is why satan offered ALL THE KINGDOMS OF THE WORLD TO JESUS (Last Adam) if only Jesus (perish the very thought) WERE TO BOW DOWN TO SATAN and worship him: 

“Again, the devil took him up into an exceedingly high mountain, and SHOWED HIM ALL THE KINGDOMS OF THE WORLD, AND THE GLORY OF THEM; 

And said unto him: ALL THESE THINGS WILL I GIVE YOU, IF YOU WILL FALL DOWN AND WORSHIP ME.  

Then said Jesus unto him: Be gone, Satan! For IT IS WRITTEN, You shall worship the Lord your God, AND HIM ONLY shall you serve.

Then THE DEVIL LEFT HIM, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.” (Matthew 4:8-11)

Adam HAD ALREADY FAILED THAT TEST.

Fortunately, Jesus NOT ONLY PASSED THE TEST but defeated satan and redeemed us (BOUGHT US BACK) after Adam had SOLD US OUT.

He bought us back with no less than His most precious, SINLESS Blood.

To Jesus be ALL THE GLORY now and for all eternity: amen.

satan tempted Jesus (Last Adam) with food, with testing God, and with worshiping him in exchange for ABSOLUTE RULERSHIP over the whole world.

Why?

Because first Adam HAD FAILED THOSE VERY SAME TESTS:

Jesus only did what He saw the father do (John 5:19). Therefore, He didn’t go on that 40-day fast because “it seemed like a good idea” but at the Father’s prompting.

God commanded Adam NOT TO EAT of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Adam DISOBEYED God, and ATE.

Had Jesus turned the stones into bread, as satan suggested, and eaten that bread, He WOULD HAVE DISOBEYED God, by eating when God the Father told Him NOT TO EAT, just like first Adam.

Next, satan tempted Jesus by suggesting that He throw Himself from the pinnacle of the temple down into the Kidron Valley.

Not only would Jesus be doing satan’s will, but would be PRESUMING that God would protect Him even if He acted recklessly and INVITED DEATH unnecessarily.

That’s EXACTLY what first Adam had done. He PRESUMED that God would still protect him and NOT HOLD HIM RESPONSIBLE for his deliberate choice to torpedo Eve and their descendants.  

He reasoned that, since God’s ONLY commandment had been NOT TO eat of that fruit, HE COULD GET AWAY WITH plotting against Eve, since TECHNICALLY, by doing that, he wasn’t disobeying God’s ONLY commandment.

Finally, satan tempted Jesus with SOLE RULERSHIP OVER THE EARTH, in exchange for bowing before him and worshipping him, because he had tempted FIRST Adam 4,000 years prior and Adam HAD BOWED TO SATAN AND WORSHIPPED SATAN.

That is why he DIDN’T OPPOSE satan when the creep went after Eve.

That is why he STOOD IN SILENCE and WATCHED the whole deception unfold, and DIDN'T LIFT A FINGER TO STOP IT.

That is WHY Adam DIDN’T blame satan for the whole Eden debacle, BUT BLAMED GOD and “the woman He gave him” instead.

Did THE FATHER OF LIES keep his word?

Of course not!

Did Adam get SOLE RULERSHIP of the earth, as satan had promised?

No.

He LOST IT.

In the process, he also lost it for Eve, and for ALL their children.

He also brought DEATH and CORRUPTION to the entire planet, and everything and everyone on it.

Thank God Jesus REJECTED the creep’s offer!

Thank God Jesus DID NOT BOW, nor worship ANYONE but the Father.

Thank God JESUS WON ALL OF IT BACK, not just for Himself, but for His Church.

Thank God that Jesus DESTROYED ALL THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL!!!

Glory to Him forever and ever! Amen.

DON’T EVER listen to satan.
