INTRODUCTION
Stress management is substantially about recognizing and under- standing the following.
» The universal potential for stress in all human situations including work and organizations.
» The range of sources and causes of stress and pressure.
» The need to respond either by taking effective action to address the problems and issues when they arise, and developing the organiza- tion, environment, practices, and processes so that these effects are minimized, or recognizing the full range of issues in advance and creating the conditions in which stress cannot occur, or in which its effects are kept to a minimum.
The following steps are therefore essential.
